deepvisual helped The Orb's original visualist, Dave Herman, prepare all the slides and footage when Dave first started to do live projections for The Orb in the early 90s. At that time The Orb were awarded two silver records and one gold record, copies of which are still on the wall here at deepvisual. Dave's show consisted of multiple Super 8 cine projectors and slides making an eclectic mix of the bizarre and the surreal. "Weird and wonderful juxtapositions" is how Dave used to describe it. His work with The Orb inspired a whole generation of wannabe VJs. Dave has since moved out of the projection industry and in 2001 the Orb's visual baton was passed back to deepvisual who has since performed a free-form visual experience for The Orb's live shows for over a decade.
